Mrs. Mansouri arrives in the capital of the Republic of Gambia

The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Selma Bakhta Mansouri, arrived in Banjul on Tuesday. She handed over a letter from the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to the President of Gambia, Adama Barrow.

During the meeting, State Secretary Mansouri conveyed the President of the Republic’s fraternal greetings to his Gambian counterpart and expressed his willingness to work together to foster bilateral cooperation.

For his part, Gambia’s president welcomed the quality of bilateral ties and Algeria’s leading role in Africa, particularly through its rotating presidency of the Security Council, where it advocated for African issues such as the preservation of peace and security and counterterrorism.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss bilateral relations and ways to bolster them.
